Climate Planning helped design and deliver the DLA Piper/ UNESCO project titled 'Climate Change and the Law'. Climate Planning worked in Fiji and Samoa to help raise the capacity of lawyers in the Pacific Region to implement climate change policy.
Case Studies on Private Sector Risks and Opportunities in Tasmania
Climate Planning was engaged by the Tasmanian Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC) to create seven case studies on private sector risks and opportunities in Tasmania. The project involved desktop analysis and face-to-face interviews for a range of sectors (e.g. tourism, fruit growers, viticulture, dairy, energy and aquaculture).
Consultant to NCCARF
Climate Planning was a consultant to NCCARF for stakeholder engagement from April 2010 to June 2013. This involved working with the private sector, Australian local governments and local government associations identifying council research needs for implementation of climate change adaptation.
Climate Change in the Boardroom project
Climate Planning has worked in partnership with Future Ready Pty Ltd and DLA Piper on the Climate Change in the Boardroom project. The study engages the private sector through discrete boardroom lunches in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne and aims to explore appropriate pathways for engaging businesses to discuss climate change risks and adaptation.

Climate Planning wrote a large developer’s submission to the Queensland government about the details of coastal hazard lines, which included a review of socio-economic indicators and coastal hazards.
Supply Chain Management and Climate Change Adaptation for SMEs - A Case Study Approach
Climate Planning explored climate change adaptation and supply chain management in Vietnam through a case study approach of three large organisations (including two large multi-nationals companies). Out team provided advice on the interplay between supply chain management and climate change adaptation for small-medium enterprises (SMEs).

Climate Planning provided strategic advice and co-authored a review of insurance and alternate risk transfer in Vietnam. In particular the project examined the barriers and enablers to insurance and alternate risk transfer for SMEs in Vietnam. The project involved face-to-face interviews, desktop analysis and surveys.
Public-Private Collaboration for Adaptation Planning in Long An Province
Climate Planning provided strategic advice and project analytics for a study that explores the political economy of public-private engagement in Long An, Vietnam (focusing particularly on industrial zones). The project included research and surveys of over 240 corporations in the Mekong River Delta, Long An.
Adaptation Governance for NRM Planning in Tasmania
Climate Planning assessed the adaptation governance elements associated with NRM planning in Tasmania. The project was used to help guide NRM decision-making and strategic direction for climate change adaptation. This project was based on Climate Planning’s Informed.City™ framework for local government and expanded the methodology into the natural resource management milieu.
Climate Change Adaptation Governance - CCAT project
Climate Planning was engaged by LGAQ to assess the adaptation governance of five Queensland local governments who are members of the Climate Change Adaptation Taskforce (C-CAT). The project provided local governments with a baseline assessment of their climate change adaptation governance and directions for mainstreaming adaptation into their organisation.

Queensland Climate Resilient Councils project (Informed.City™)
IN PROGRESS - Climate Planning is working with the LGAQ to deliver the Q CRC project. This project is a three-year program working with Queensland local governments to strengthen internal council decision-making processes to respond to climate change. This includes a detailed assessment of climate change adaptation governance for 32 local governments in Queensland.
